Summary

Insurance; preauthorization for abuse-deterrent opioids. Requires any health carrier offering a health benefit plan that covers prescription drugs and applies a formulary to such coverage to offer in its formulary at least two classes of abuse-deterrent opioids as a tier 1 option that does not require the prescribing provider to utilize a preauthorization process.
