Commending the Loudoun Free Clinic.

WHEREAS, for 25 years, the Loudoun Free Clinic has provided free health care to low-income, uninsured, or underinsured adults in Loudoun County; and

WHEREAS, founded in 1998, Loudoun Free Clinic has grown to serve more than 1,100 patients each year by providing free preventative care, sick visits, well-woman care, diagnostic services, lab work, prescription medications, nutritional counseling, immunizations, and case management, among other services; and

WHEREAS, in 2023 alone, Loudoun Free Clinic provided services valued at $4.2 million to its patients, representing 4,419 individual visits and more than 9,000 30-day medication prescriptions; and

WHEREAS, Loudoun Free Clinic provides its services at no cost to patients, ensuring that people in need will not need to choose between receiving vital medical care and other essentials like food, clothing, or housing; and

WHEREAS, by expanding health care access and increasing health care equity, Loudoun Free Clinic has given low-income families a better foundation to achieve self-sufficiency; and

WHEREAS, Loudoun Free Clinic's role as a longstanding partner in the local network of safety net services has significantly enhanced the quality of life for residents of Loudoun County and Northern Virginia; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Loudoun Free Clinic on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Loudoun Free Clinic as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to public health in Loudoun County.
