CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE—
2017–2018 REGULAR SESSION
Assembly Bill | No. 646 |
Introduced by Assembly Member Kalra |
February 14, 2017 |
An act relating to student financial aid.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 646, as introduced, Kalra.
Student financial aid: debt.
Existing law establishes various student financial aid programs that involve the making of loans to students to help cover the costs of postsecondary education.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to help reduce the debt load that students face after graduating from California’s colleges and universities.
