    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to dual enrollment programs; amending
    3         s. 1007.271, F.S.; requiring a district school board
    4         to enter into a dual enrollment articulation agreement
    5         with a local Florida College System institution that
    6         has the capacity to offer in-person or online dual
    7         enrollment courses; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Subsection (4) of section 1007.271, Florida
   12  Statutes, is amended to read:
   13         1007.271 Dual enrollment programs.—
   14         (4) District school boards must may not refuse to enter
   15  into a dual enrollment articulation agreement with a local
   16  Florida College System institution if that Florida College
   17  System institution has the capacity to offer in–person or online
   18  dual enrollment courses.
   19         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.
