SENATE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

requesting STAKEHOLDERS TO update to the east-west center study titled "hawaii as an east-west bridge: a survey of the economic value of non-tourist international activities in hawaii".

 

 

     WHEREAS, the East-West Center conducted a study titled "Hawaii as an East-West Bridge: A Survey of the Economic Value of Non-Tourist International Activities in Hawaii"; and

 

     WHEREAS, conducted in 1990, it is necessary to update the study; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Thirty-second Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2024, the House of Representatives concurring, that appropriate stakeholders are requested to update the study titled "Hawaii as an East-West Bridge: A Survey of the Economic Value of Non-Tourist International Activities in Hawaii" to further assess the potential benefits of Hawaii participating in international affairs; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Governor and President of the East-West Center.
