Summary

Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Creates the Border Community Task Force to hold hearings in communities adjacent to the border of the State of Illinois to develop a competitive model for the States to enable small businesses located in these communities to survive and retain jobs. Requires the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to provide administrative and other support to the task force. Requires the task force to file a report with the Governor and the General Assembly. Sets forth topics that the report must include. Provides that the Section is repealed on July 1, 2012. Effective immediately.
