Bill Title: Creates the Illinois Registered Design Practitioner Act. Provides for licensure of registered design practitioners by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Provides for the registration of professional registered design firms not already registered under the Professional Service Corporation Act. Creates the Registered Design Practitioner Licensing Board and sets forth the powers and duties of the Board. Sets forth the powers and duties of the Department, exemptions from the Act, licensure qualifications, grounds for discipline, civil and criminal penalties, and administrative procedure. Establishes or authorizes the Department to establish various fees for the implementation of the Act. Sets forth provisions concerning license renewal, restoration, and reciprocity, display of licenses, and continuing education requirements. Preempts home rule. Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act. Provides a repeal date of January 1, 2026 for the Illinois Registered Design Practitioner Act. Repeals the Interior Design Title Act. Makes a conforming change in the Unified Code of Corrections. Effective immediately.
