Bill Title: Amends the County Assessment Officials Article of the Property Tax Code. Provides that on the expiration of the term of the county assessor in office (in counties with 3,000,000 or more inhabitants) on the effective date of the amendatory Act, the county assessor shall be appointed by the president of the county board of commissioners and subject to confirmation and oversight by the county board of commissioners.
