Bill Title: Amends the Public Officer Simultaneous Tenure Act. Provides that in counties with a population of less than 500,000, it is lawful for any person to hold the office of township supervisor or township trustee and be appointed to and serve as a member of a county zoning board of appeals, simultaneously.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Public Officer Simultaneous Tenure Act is | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | amended by changing Section 2 as follows:

7 | Sec. 2. Simultaneous tenure declared to be lawful. It is | |||||||||||||||||||

for any person to hold the office of county board

the office of county board member and township | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | trustee, simultaneously.

or town clerk, simultaneously, in counties of less | |||||||||||||||||||
14 | than 300,000 population. In counties of less than 500,000 | |||||||||||||||||||
15 | population, it is lawful for any person to hold the office of | |||||||||||||||||||
16 | township supervisor or township trustee and be appointed to and | |||||||||||||||||||
17 | serve as a member of a county zoning board of appeals, | |||||||||||||||||||
18 | simultaneously.
