A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT appropriating funds for salary adjustments for members of the state highway patrol.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Safety, State Highway Patrol, the sum of sixteen million dollars ($16,000,000) in recurring funds for the 2018‑2019 fiscal year to increase the salaries of law enforcement officers serving in the State Highway Patrol.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2018.
