A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to eliminate the DESIGNATION on a tax return by an individual for the North Carolina Political Parties Financing Fund.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1.(a) G.S. 105‑159.1 is repealed.
SECTION 1.(b) This section is effective for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2013, and elections made under G.S. 105‑159.1 on or after January 1, 2014, are void.
SECTION 2.(a) Article 22B of Chapter 163 of the General Statutes is repealed.
SECTION 2.(b) This section becomes effective upon exhaustion of the funds in the North Carolina Political Parties Financing Fund.
SECTION 3. Except as otherwise provided, this act is effective when it becomes law.
