COOK, EPSTEIN, THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to the use of campaign funds for certain expenses The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph (iii) of subdivision 3 of section 14-130 of the 2 election law, as added by section 9 of part CC of chapter 56 of the laws 3 of 2015, is amended to read as follows: 4 (iii) [clothing] childcare expenses, other than [items that are used] 5 expenses incurred in the campaign or in the execution of the duties of 6 public office or party position; 7 § 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall 8 have become a law; provided, however, that the state board of elections 9 shall notify all registered campaign committees of the applicable 10 provisions of this act within thirty days after this act shall have 11 become a law.
