S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 9141 I N A S S E M B L Y January 27, 2012 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. CAHILL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT in relation to exempting certain ambulance services from the payment of tolls THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, 2 the payment of tolls on any highway, bridge, tunnel or other toll road 3 within the state shall not apply to an ambulance service as defined in 4 subdivision two of section three thousand one of the public health law 5 or a voluntary ambulance service as defined in subdivision three of such 6 section, regardless of whether or not such vehicles are responding to an 7 emergency. 8 S 2.
