       AN  ACT to amend the real property law, in relation to filing of maps in
         county clerk offices
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 334 of the real property law is amended by adding a
    2  new subdivision 2-a to read as follows:
    3    2-A.  NOTWITHSTANDING  ANY  OTHER PROVISIONS IN THIS ARTICLE, A COUNTY
    4  CLERK MAY ADOPT A SYSTEM TO RECEIVE AND RETAIN MAPS UTILIZING  AN  ELEC-
    5  TRO-MECHANICAL,  ELECTRONIC  OR  ANY OTHER METHOD THEY DEEM SUITABLE FOR
    6  RECEIVING AND RETAINING MAPS.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
