relating to the placement of speed limit signs at the end of | ||
construction or maintenance work zones. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter H, Chapter 545, Transportation Code, | ||
is amended by adding Section 545.364 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 545.364. SPEED LIMIT SIGNS AFTER CONSTRUCTION OR | ||
MAINTENANCE WORK ZONE. (a) In this section, "construction or | ||
maintenance work zone" has the meaning assigned by Section 472.022. | ||
(b) An entity that sets a lower speed limit on a road or | ||
highway in the state highway system for a construction or | ||
maintenance work zone shall place or require to be placed a sign at | ||
the end of the zone that indicates the speed limit after the zone | ||
ends. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
